At a glance
BloatedGoat does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not link food lookups to your identity. There is no BloatedGoat account. Food analyses and ingredient photos stay on your iPhone.
Data used for app functionality
Food names and product barcodes are sent to public food databases to fetch ingredients. These lookups are described as Data Not Linked to You in the app privacy label and are used for App Functionality.
| Data type | What is sent | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Search History | Food, product, and recipe names you search for or select | Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, and TheMealDB |
| Other Data | Product barcodes you scan | Open Food Facts |
These database providers may log IP addresses and request details during normal web traffic. BloatedGoat does not receive their logs.
